ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Tuesday that the government would follow the court directives in Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s assassination case.
She was talking to media persons after inaugurating a paintings exhibition at Pakistan National Council for Arts.
To a question about the extradition of former president Pervez Musharraf, she said that the matter was sub judice and the government would follow court directives in this regard.
She said that the investigation report about the assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto was presented to the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which approved its presentation in the court.
The minister said that it was not appropriate to share its details with the media prior to its presentation in the court. The United Nations report was a fact finding report and the investigations were done in its light, she added.
To a question, she said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto believed in dialogue.
Dr Firdous said that the artists had positive approach and they could play an important role in restoring the true and positive image of the country. They express their view through brush and paint and they always depict things in a positive manner, she added.
