Explosion in Khyber Agency kills five, injures eight

KHYBER AGENCY: Five people died in an explosion on Tuesday that took place in the Tirah Valley located in Khyber Agency, DawnNews reported.

According to the local administration the blast took place in a village fair where a large number of people had gathered.

Five people were killed while eight were injured in the blast. The injured were immediately shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

Sources in the hospital informed that the injured were in critical condition and feared that there could be an increase in the number of deaths.

Fear engulfed the village in Khyber Agency after the blast, shutting down all sort of activity meanwhile the relief efforts were being carried out.
