Another NAP leader resigns
BAJAUR, Oct 14: After the defeat of the National Awami Party (NAP) in the Oct 10 polls in Bajaur Agency, the president of its Mohmand chapter, Bacha Gul, has also resigned from the party office.
Announcing the decision at a press conference on Monday, Mr Gul said he saw no justification in clinging to the office after the NAP’s defeat in the agency.
He said the unexpected results of the elections had surprised all the political parties, including the NAP, which had a massive vote bank in the area.
Mr Gul opined that fall of the Taliban in Afghanistan and the ongoing US-led war against terror had played a major role in the victory of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal.
