NAROWAL, Oct 13: The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) will soon issue a white paper on rigging in the general election.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, PML-N chief coordinator Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal alleged that in his constituency, voters were denied their right to vote at gunpoint.

He said four FIRs were registered against PML-QA workers on the complaints of presiding officers, and 16 armed men were arrested for forcing people to cast vote in favour of PML-QA candidates.

He alleged his rival candidate, the wife of the district Nazim, had full government support, and she used all the resources available with the district government for her success.

He claimed that the election results were tampered with to defeat him. He demanded fresh elections in NA-117 and PP-135.

The PML-N leader said his party would hold protest rallies against rigging throughout the country. A meeting of ticket holders would also be convened to decide the future line of action, he said.
