LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Friday said that all resources are being utilized for provision of basic amenities to the masses and speedy development of the province.
He said that special attention is being paid to the development of the backward areas.
According to a handout the CM was talking to the Assembly Members belonging to various districts who called on him here on Friday.
The elected representatives apprised the Chief Minister of people's problems and development projects of their respective areas.
Talking on the occasion, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the dream of development cannot be materialized without education and Punjab government has taken revolutionary steps for the uplift of this sector.
He said that besides setting up Punjab Education Endowment Fund and IT Labs in high schools, the project of Daanish Schools has been launched in backward areas first time in the history of the country.
He said that the dream of children of poor parents of having quality education will be materialized by the project of Daanish Schools and they will also be able to play their due role in the development and prosperity of the country.
He asked the elected representatives to personally supervise development activities in their respective areas and ensure their timely and transparent completion.
Those who met the Chief Minister included Muhammad Sanaullah Mastikhel, Malik Adil Hussain Utra, Rana Muhammad Arshad, Irfan Shabbir Gujjar, Syed Haroon Ahmad Sultan and Syed Abdul Basit.
