LARKANA, Oct 9: Rival candidates traded allegations of firing on each others’ workers in PS-35 (Larkana-I) and PS-37 (Larkana- III).
The district chief of the PML-Q, Altaf Hussain Unnar, on Tuesday alleged that his caravan was fired upon late night near Mazaro village.
He said his bodyguards retaliated. Nadeem Jatoi and a shepherd were reportedly injured in the incident.
The PPP also alleged that its corner meeting was fired upon late Tuesday night in Aarija village. The PPP leaders blamed Altaf Hussain Unnar for this incident.
Chief of the Sindh National Front (SNF) Mumtaz Ali Bhutto and the PPP leaders have also been trading allegations and counter- allegations.
The SNF chief’s son, Amir Bakhsh Bhutto, is contesting from PS-37.
The situation in various Larkana constituencies is as follows:
PS-35 (Larkana-I): Four contestants are in the run for this constituency.
However, tough fight is expected between Haji Altaf Hussain Unnar of the PML-Q and Ghulam Serwar Khan Siyal of the PPP.
