SUKKUR, Oct 9: The polling stations of NA-210 Jacobabad III have been relocated from their designated places overnight so as to benefit a National Alliance candidate, Saleem Jan Mazari.

Mir Imran Khan Bijarani, People’s Party Parliamentarians candidate for NA-210, claimed this in a press conference at Kandhkot on Wednesday.

He said the polling staff has also been changed on a large scale, and in a number of cases private people other than government personnel have been deputed to act as presiding officers in the NA-210 constituency.

He said that this was being done by the returning officer of NA-210 without any lawful authority and in sheer violation of election commission rules.

He said all these changes have been made just 24 hours before the voting starts.

Mr Mir said he had faxed the facts to the chief election commissioner. He said that he had requested him for taking immediate notice to ensure free and transparent elections on this seat.

He accused the Mukhtiarkar, Kashmor, the SDO, Education, Kashmor, and the Taluka Nazim, Kashmor for openly working for and favouring an NA candidate, Salim Jan Mazari.

He demanded the chief election commissioner to take urgent notice of all this.

SDA: The supporters of an SDA candidate for PS-5 Ubaro, Ziauddin Chachar, blocked the National Highway between Daharki and Ubaro for several hours on Wednesday in protest against the police raiding his camp and arresting eight supporters declaring them as Chachar outlaws.
