QUETTA, Oct 1: A five-year-old boy was seriously injured when a toy bomb exploded in the Satellite Town area on Monday.

The police rushed to the site with administration officials and removed the victim to the Civil Hospital for treatment.

According to police sources, the boy, Mohammad Akbar, was playing outside his house in block-5 of Satellite Town when he found a toy and started playing with it. The toy exploded injuring the boy seriously.

The bomb disposal squad has taken the splinters into custody.
