QUETTA, Feb 27: A powerful bomb explosion near Dera Murad Jamali damaged a railway track linking Quetta with the rest of the country on Sunday night.

Sources said the blast took place near the Mangoli area of Jaffarabad district, destroying a portion of the track and suspending rail traffic on the main line.

They said that repair work had been started and traffic would be restored by the morning.

No casualty was reported in the explosion.
