LAHORE, Oct 8: Independent observers monitoring the general election on Oct 10 are holding meetings with high-ups of the Election Commission of Pakistan and the local electionauthorities.

In this connection, observers’ delegation representingthe European Union called on the local election authorities anddiscussed arrangements.

They also met the Punjab governor and discussed the measures taken by the government to hold free, fair and impartialelections.—APP
