LAHORE, Oct 8: Riffat Sultana, the mother of Dawn Lahore chief reporter Nasir Jamal, died of illness in the Shaikh Zayed Hospital on Tuesday night.

She was also the mother of UET assistant professor Shahid Jamal, Islamabad-based journalist Arif Jamal and lawyer Asad Jamal, and the mother-in-law of IUCN consultant Imtiaz Alvi.

Funeral procession will be taken out from her residence 177-J, Defence Housing Society. Funeral prayers will be held at the main mosque of Defence Phase-I at 4:30pm on Wednesday (today). She will be buried in the Defence graveyard.
