MIANWALI, Oct 8: Two candidates retired in favour of Imran Khan from NA-71 (Mianwali I), says a PTI press release issued on Tuesday.

Col Hasan Niazi (retired) of the PAT and independent candidate Abdul Qayyum Khan announced their decision to support Imran Khan at a rally, led by the PTI chief here on Tuesday night.

Abdul Qayyum Khan is a brother of former minister Abdul Rahman Khan Babli.

The PTI chief also protested in front of the Qamar Mashani police station where a PTI activist was kept in illegal custody, tortured to death and subsequently his body was thrown into river Indus.

Speaking to the participants of the rally, Imran Khan said the people were no longer prepared to live under the rulers who were slaves of their foreign master.

He warned the government against hijacking the will of the people. If the elections were rigged, the PTI would launch agitation against the government.

Imran Khan said that the people have decided to change the system.

“The PTI is the only party that calls for a change and has a comprehensive manifesto that offers the best solutions to problems,” he said.
