ABBOTTABAD, Oct 7: Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari, chief of Millat Party and leader of National Alliance, has said that it is most unfortunate, from the political point of view, some candidates follow personalities and not the party manifestos, and believe in the politics of inheritance.
He said this while addressing a big public meeting at the Bar Club on Sunday in connection with the election campaign.
Leghari said that in the past, both the major political parties of the country have cheated the voters and the public.
They had looted the national wealth, for which he reminded that if MP came to power then their party will bring back all the looted money.
He declared both parties “Economic terrorist”, and added that they were more harmful to the country than any other party.
Farooq Leghari said that their party believes very much in fair and clean politics, and that coming to power was never his aim.
He said that the country was passing through difficult times, and it was all due to ill-planning and corruption of the previous rulers, which had damaged almost all the institutions of the country.
Mr Leghari said that out of the 140 million people of the country, at least 50 million, live below the poverty line, which he added was shameful.
All the candidates of Millat Party from Abbottabad district also spoke on this occasion.
