KARACHI, Feb 9: Six ships carrying 25,000 tons of DAP fertiliser and 44,000 tons of rock phosphate are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Six ships, Bunga Raya Tiga, President Jackson, Hyundai General, Glory with containers, Ocean Host, bulk cargo carrier and Bow Plata, an oil tanker,were berthed on Wednesday after the departure of five.
The departing ships were led by Kota Anggerol, Belquis, Ocean Island, Sorrelle and Y.M. America, while Bunga Tiga, Patton-1, President Jackson and Glory are due to sail out on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow totalling 75,908 tons comprising 29,129 tons of export cargo and 46,779 tons of importtonnage.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Union Hellen with DAP fertiliser, POS Island with rock phosphate, Hiba Al-Noor to load 27,000 tons of cement, Xuan de Men with general cargo, Emirates Rafiki and Bella with containers.
