HYDERABAD, Jan 28: Sindh Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Makhdoom Jamil-uz-Zaman has said that that he will make efforts for allocation of sufficient funds for Dr N.A. Baloch Institute of Heritage and Research and appointment of required staff there to help it to independently carryout research work.Speaking during a visit to the institute in Latifabad on Friday, Mr Jamil, who is also the chairman of the Sindhi Adabi Board, stressed the need for close coordination between the institute and the board.

He said that the institute would be strengthened to unearth the undiscovered historical heritage of Sindh. He said that a seminar on cultural and archaeological heritage of the province would be organised in Hyderabad very soon.

Director of the institute Gul Mohammad Umrani briefed the minister about aims, objectives and achievements of the institute. He said that a scheme for the institute had been approved by the provincial government at a cost of Rs150 million and three acres of land had been acquired from the University of Sindh near Jamshoro railway station on the Super Highway for the scheme. He said that a secretariat of the institute, a campus of Tangible Heritage Institute and a digital museum would be established under the scheme.
