GUJRANWALA, Jan 18: Six workers were injured when a gas cylinder exploded at a CNG filling station near Mandiala Warraich on GT Road on Tuesday.
The cylinder exploded after the station's compressor caught fire due to a malfunction. The impact of the explosion damaged the compressor room and broke down windowpanes of a tuck shop, leaving six employees injured.
The Rescue-1122 shifted the injured to DHQ Hospital where Babar, Awais and Ashraf were stated to be in a critical condition. CASE:
The Civil Lines police on Tuesday registered a case against 15 people, including the Aroop TMO and the building inspector, for demolishing shops of complainant Usman Iqbal despite a stay order issued by a court.
Complainant's brother-in-law Asghar had constructed some shops on his property on Jinnah Road, but TMO Habibullah and inspector Imdad Cheema along with TMA staff razed these shops to ground despite a stay order issued by a civil court.
The police were conducting raids to arrest the accused.
