NAWABSHAH, Oct 2: Leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and the Sindh Democratic Alliance held a meeting with the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leaders on Wednesday for the adjustment of seats in Nawabshah and Naushahro Feroze districts.
On Wednesday, Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi (SDA), Mushtaq Rahu, and Syed Amjad Shah (PML-Q) met with the deputy convener of MQM, Dr Farooq Sattar, for the adjustment on National and provincial assembly seats in the two districts.
Dr Farooq, member, MQM adjustment committee, told this correspondent that he held talks with the PML (Q) and the SDA on the adjustment of seats in two districts and he would forward his recommendations to the adjustment committee comprising Aftab Shaikh, Shoaib Bukhari, Kanwar Khalid, and himself, which would take a decision.
Answering a question about adjustment with the PML (Q) on NA-213 (Nawabshah-I), he said that the position of the MQM candidate on this seat was much better and there was a rare chance of adjustment with the PML(Q) on this seat.
He said that the election would be fair and free if the no-go areas were opened for all, including the MQM, and added that negotiations between the MQM and the government were going on regarding it.
He said that the country would not become stable until the provinces were not provided independence according to the 1940 and 1946 resolutions.
