New Year Resolutions

This is with reference to the article Making the right resolutions? by Mohammad Omar Iftikhar (YW, January 1, 2011). I followed all the suggestions mentioned in the article and I am done with my list of resolutions. I used to break my resolutions in the past but these steps really helped me in getting more organised and now I am hopeful that I will keep the promises I have made to myself.

The article covered each and every thing that people should keep in mind while making and fulfilling their New Year Resolutions, including the description on how to remember your resolutions throughout the year — now I will always keep in mind my resolutions and stick to them as well!

The article that I liked most in the New Year’s issue of Young World was Making the right resolutions? by Mohammad Omar Iftikhar. New Year brings with it new hopes and it becomes dull and boring if you don’t have any resolution. A resolution gives you new strength and an aim to improve your previous bad habits and give your life a new turn.

Faizan Majeed,HyderabadA New Year’s EveThis is with reference to the story A New Year's Eve by Sabihey Namazi (January 1, 2011). It is a very good story — ideal for young readers as it gives them a lesson for not repeating the same mistakes again and again and emphasises them to improve themselves. The main thing is to keep trying because the secret of success lies in two words: ‘I’ll try’.

Moreover Word Buzz by Ahzam Ahmed always teaches me many new words, idioms and phrases which improve my writing ability.

Ali Tahir,LahoreBright Saturday morningsEach Saturday morning becomes bright when I get the copy of Young World in my hands. I enjoy the cover stories a lot as they are very informative and the last one on fire was very interesting too. Other favourite sections of mine are Myths and mysteries and Fit and fabulous as both are very informative.

I also like the stories but sometimes they are a bit boring. Please include interesting stories so that we can enjoy this magazine more.
