Bus passengers looted

CHAKWAL, Jan 1: Highwaymen looted about Rs0.5 million and valuables from the passengers of a bus on the motorway near Chakri village in the jurisdiction of Chakwal police on Friday night.

The gang of highwaymen rode the Sargodha-bound bus from Rawalpindi and looted the passengers. After entering the Neela police area, the robbers forced the driver to stop and ran away from the scene.

When contacted, the motorway police officials at Chakri said there had no such incident occurred.

However, the Neela police have registered a case against unknown robbers and are investigating.
