PESHAWAR, Sept 27: A suspected member of a banned militant organization has been sent to jail on the charges that he was likely to indulge in activities prejudicial to public safety and maintenance of public order.
NWFP Home and Tribal Affairs Secretary Mohammad Shah ordered on Thursday under the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance that Badshah Khan, son of Zarif Khan, resident of Balambat, Lower Dir, should be detained in central prison here for 30 days. In his decision, the official said interrogation of Badshah Khan after his return from Afghanistan had shown that he might belong to a banned organization.—Bureau
