KARACHI, Sept 22: The Singapore government has further simplified visa procedures by introducing letter of introduction by local sponsor for the visitor.

According to information reaching here through Pakistan embassy, it would be sufficient for the local sponsors to provide a “letter of introduction”, under the new procedures.

Previously, the local sponsor had to furnish an undertaking, making him fully responsible for the stay, maintenance and repatriation of the guests.

Under the new procedures, the local sponsor will provide only basic information about the guest and duration of his stay in Singapore.—APP
