A MQM statement on Wednesday said that he was telephonically addressing    people in various locations in Pakistan.

It said that Altaf Hussain described the imposition of RGST as “unjust.”

Meanwhile, speaking about the welfare activities of the charitable wing of the party- the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) he said that the KKF was gradually increasing the scope of its activities in other parts of the country.

Altaf Hussain said that the KKF has been at the forefront in times of natural calamities such as earthquake and flood and always provided relief to the people without any discrimination.

He said that KKF volunteers collect hides of sacrificial animals each year during Eid-ul-Azha and the money obtained from these hides is utilised for providing help to those in need. -APP
