BAJAUR, Nov 10: The political administration of Bajaur Agency on Saturday closed down a privately-run radio channel in the agency and seized the equipment.

The radio channel operating in different parts of the agency, including Khaar, Lharai, Tarkho, Pusht and Nawagai, used to relay anti-America and pro-Taliban songs from 7am to 10pm every day and incited the people for Jihad. The transmission of the FM radio stations could be received in a radius of 40 kilometres in the agency.

Large contingents of the Bajaur levies raided the radio station and seized the equipment.
