PESHAWAR, Sept 9: Pakistan Academy of Letters, Peshawar chapter, has asked the government to arrange tours of writers to China to promote cultural relations between the countries.
Pushto poet Dr Salma Shaheen, talking to newsmen here on Monday, said there was uniformity between Pakistani and Chinese literature and by continuous exchange of views the people of the countries would benefit and literary research would be promoted.
She has returned from a 10-day tour of China with a delegation led by the academy’s chairman, Iftikhar Arif.
