LAHORE, Sept 7: The World Literacy Day is being observed on Sunday (today).

The newly set up Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department (L&NFBE) is holding its first function at Alhamra Hall I to celebrate the day.

Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool is likely to preside over the function.

Students from government and non-formal schools will deliver speeches and present skits on the occasion.
