Q1. I am using Warid network. The problem is that I’m unable to log into Warid’s Members Area on my mobile and computer, although it’s possible when I use a Zong Sim. Please suggest how I can log in using Warid.
2. From where can I get free Symbian software and Adobe PDF for Nokia 5230?
A1. Many members of the Warid network are facing this issue and it has nothing to do with your Sim or your phone. It's a technical issue and only the IT team at Warid can resolve this.
2. One of the better sites is www.getjar.com.
QWhen I use my own account on my Windows XP system, I face problems in browsing the internet. None of the Facebook applications work, video streaming is extremely slow and websites load at a slow speed. This is not the case with any other user account that is used on the system. I am also using Vuze which has about six to seven torrents running at a time. Could this be the problem?
AIf the browsing is slow without using torrents, the problem could be corrupted Windows drivers. In this case, you should just repair Windows. However, if the browsing is slow while using Vuze, than it’s because the Bittorrent client is sucking up all available connections on your router and your bandwidth. I always maintain that it’s better to limit the number of concurrent downloads to two at maximum and limit the download speed to 50 per cent of your available bandwidth.
In Vuze 2.1.0.0+, the download speed limiter is available through configuration > transfer or by right-clicking on the download speed in the bottom status bar.
QIs there a website/service that sends SMS and updates of news and other information for free?
AMost newspapers, channels and agencies are now on Twitter. For example, you can find Dawn at www.twitter.com/dawn_ news. To get Twitter ‘feeds’ (updates) on your mobile, you can subscribe free to www.mobi2weet.com, which is a Pakistan-based SMS-based Twitter application company. Thus, you’ll be updated in real time for free.
QI have a Dell Inspiron 700m with 1.7 GHz processor, 1GB Ram and Windows XP media centre edition with Service Pack 3. I use Kaspersky antivirus 6.0 for Windows workstations, version 6.0.4.1212 a.
The problem is that at times Prevx 3.0 simply stops responding around 30 minutes after it begins its routine scan of the system. If I try to close the programme, it says it is aborting but that does not happen either.
Restarting the computer sometimes resolves this issue, but even then it works well for around 15 to 20 days only.
APlease download the removal tool from https://info.prevx.com/download.asp?
grab=csiuninstalltool. Run this tool and then reboot your computer and re-download the newest version of Prevx 3.0 from https://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp and install it again. I think this will take care of the problem.
