LAHORE, Sept 6: Leader of the Millat-i-Jafria Pakistan Allama Sajid Naqvi says Shia community does not blame followers of any other religious school of thought for the Lahore and Quetta tragedies.
At a press conference where he was flanked by other Shia leaders here on Monday, he said either the government or the chief justice of Pakistan should set up a judicial commission to probe into the terror acts.
He said the law-enforcement agencies did not fail in discharging their duties, rather these were helpless before the terrorists. He said he would assemble notables of the Shia community after Eid to decide a future line of action.
He said banning religious processions was interference in religion which the masses would not accept, asking if the government would close down mosques as bomb blasts were also taking place there.
Blaming the policy of ‘strategic depth’ for the present chaos and lawlessness, he stressed it must be probed who were the people accepting responsibility for the terrorist attacks, and who were their patrons.
