SAHIWAL, Sept 5: Tehrik-i-Istiqlal has forged an alliance with the PML-QA, TIP Chairman Rahmat Khan Virdag said.

Mr Virdag was talking to Qaumi Jamhoori Party working committee member Rana Ghulam Sarwar on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, Rana Sarwar told newsmen that the TIP chairman would soon meet the Qaumi Jamhoori Party’s Chairman Asghar Khan in Abbottabad.

STAY ORDER: Local civil judge on Thursday granted extension in stay order issued against the PTCL revenue department till Sept 18 in favour of NA-160 candidate Imran Shah.

Mr Shah in his complaint stated that revenue officer Mrs Sardar declared him defaulter of Rs43,566 for his telephone No 77722. He said when he contested for the seat of Nazim, the revenue officer issued him NOC and on request closed his telephone.

Before filing nomination papers for NA-160, he said the official refused to issue the NOC and once again declared him defaulter.

The court extended the stay order till Sept 18 and asked the RO to file reply. — Correspondent
