KHAIRPUR, Sept 2: The returning officer for PS-30, Khairpur- II, Mohammad Saad Qureshi, rejected the nomination papers of Pir Syed Sadardin Shah Rashidi, son of Pir Sahib Pagaro, on Monday.

The papers of Rashidi were rejected on the objections filed by Pir Syed Bachal Shah Jeelani, a PPP candidate, regarding a mistake of father’s name in his degree certificate.

PPP PROTEST: The PPP activists took out a protest rally against the rejection of nomination papers of Benazir Bhutto here on Monday.

The protesters also staged a demonstration outside the local press club and raised slogans against the government and the Election Commission.

A protest meeting was also held in Visro village, Wahan taluka, Khairpur, which was attended by villagers.
