KARACHI: Engineering, medical colleges’ entry tests
KARACHI, Nov 8: Entry tests for admission to medical colleges in the province and NED Engineering University would be held on three separate dates within a period of six days.
According to an announcement of NED University of Engineering and Technology, pre-admission test for first-year engineering classes at the university would be held on the campus on Nov 10 from 10am to 12-noon. Candidates should start entering the premises at 9:15am.
The registrar of the university, in another communication, said entry of students and their parents into the campus would be subject to security check at the main gate, and candidates were required to bring only one pencil and one eraser for the examination.
KMDC TEST: According to official sources, the entry test for admission to MBBS course at Karachi Medical and Dental College would be held on Sunday, Nov 11, in two shifts on the IBA City campus. Earlier, the test was scheduled for
Nov 9.
The BDS admission test would be held as per schedule on Nov 11, as announced earlier and there is no change in time and venue for the test. More than 2,000 candidates are likely to appear in the two tests. Eighty seats, including 30 for the BDS course, are available at the college.
The candidates of MBBS first shift tests have been advised to report for the examinations at 1:50pm, and the second shift candidates are required to report at 2:50pm. BDS test candidates have been asked to report at 9:30am, according to a press release.
GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGES TEST: The retest for admission to MBBS/BDS classes in government-run colleges in the province would be held on Nov 15 at three different centres. About 5,500 candidates have been registered for the tests.
Official sources said the retest for Karachi-based students would be held on the University of Karachi campus at 10am. Earlier the test was held on Oct 15, which was cancelled by the Sindh Health department following confirmation of the leakage of the test paper.
The Sindh Health department has extended the last date for submission of PRC on form C and domicile certificate of parents/guardian on form P-1 for the candidates who submitted their application forms for admission up to Nov 15.
