PML(QA) interviews intending candidates

PESHAWAR, Aug 20: A meeting of parliamentary board of PML(QA) continued for the second consecutive day on Tuesday to decide about the allotment of party tickets to the intending candidates for the National and provincial assemblies seats and for seats reserved for women and minorities.

The meeting was presided over by provincial president Salim Saifullah Khan and attended by Nisar Mohammad Khan and Syed Ali Shah.

During the meeting, candidates including women were interviewed from all districts of the province.

The candidates who have so far been allotted party tickets included Muazzam Butt advocate from NA-1 Peshawar-1, Mohammad Sher Khan NA-12 Swabi, Mohammad Javed Khan NA-13 Swabi, Syed Iftikhar Husain Gilani NA-14 Kohat, Shaheryar Khan NA-16 Hangu, Amanullah Khan Jadoon NA-17 Abbottabad, Sardar Mohammad Yousuf NA-20 Mansehra, Nawabzada Salahuddin Saeed NA-21 Mansehra, Prince Mohammad Nawaz Khan Allai NA-22 Battagram, Shujaat Ali Khan NA-30 Swat and Gian Singh who had been awarded party ticket for seats reserved for minorities in National Assembly.

For provincial assembly constituencies, the party tickets had been awarded to Mohammad Sher Khan PF-33 Swabi, Shaukat Khan PF-34 Swabi, Sajjad Ahmed PF-35 Swabi, Pervez Khan Jadoon PF-36 Swabi, Dr Miandad Bangash PF-42 Hangu, Zakir Mohammad PF-43 Hangu, Mushtaq Ghani PF-44 Abbottabad, Azizur Rehman Tanoli PF-46 Abbottabad, Nisar Safdar Khan PF-47 Abbottabad, Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob PF-48 Abbottabad, Tariq Khan Swabi PF-53 Manshera, Abdul Sattar Khan PF-55 Mansehra, Sakhi Mohammad Tanoli PF-57 Mansehra, Abdul Majeed Khan PF-69 Tank, Naiku Bar Khan PF-73 Bannu, Barkat Ali Khan PF-83 Swat and Oam Parkash from PF reserve seat minorities.

The board meeting will continue on Wednesday to complete the remaining allotments, including for seats reserved for women and minorities.

Salim Saifullah Khan is likely to contest from Provincial Assembly seat Lakki Marwat and PF-4 Peshawar.
