HYDERABAD, Aug 19: The final year students of Electrical Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, have launched a project “Computerised control of induction motor”.

The project covers many aspects of the control of induction motor, including monitoring of voltage and currents, and speed control.

The group working on the project told this scribe that the project would also store the monitored data for future reference.

The MUET students said that all this would be performed by a single computer and the process would reduce manpower, which is presently required to maintain and operate the system.
