NOWSHERA, Aug 16: PPP central leader and former interior minister Naseerullah Khan Babar on Friday said the Election Commission had failed to announce the schedule for the October general elections due to certain technical problems.

Speaking at a gathering of party workers at Khat Kallay here, the PPP leader criticized the chief election commissioner for the steps he is taking to hold elections. These decisions are a hurdle in the early announcement of the election schedule, he added.—Correspondent
