KARACHI, Aug 15: Allied Bank Limited (ABL) clinched the men’s and women’s team events titles in the All Pakistan Masters Cup table tennis tournament with impressive victories in the final at Islamia Club Indoor Gymnasium.

In the men’s team event final ABL handed out 3-0 thrashing to Wapda. Earlier ABL clinched the women team event beating Habib Bank Limited (HBL) 3-1.

ABL, the reigning national champion, completely maintained their domination as their players also reached the both men’s and women singles final of the event.

Though Wapda lost 0-3 in the men’s team event final but they offered some challenge before bowing out. Current and former national champions Asim Qureshi and Farjad Saif both dropped a game before winning their matches.

Kashif Razzak was stretched to limits by Jahangir Khan before going down 2-3.

ABL women’s lost a match when Rahila Anjum went down against Shabnam Bilal before racing to victory by winning the next two matches.
