LAHORE, Aug 12: The combined river flow on Monday registered a healthy improvement as total supplies went up to 474,800 cusecs. Out of this 397,200 cusecs was released for irrigation and rest 77,600 cusecs stored.
River Indus had a 302,600 cusecs inflow at Tarbela and 241,700 cusecs outflow. The lake level stood at 1,514.44 feet compared to the optimum level of 1,550 feet.
The lake now holds around 4.8 million acre feet compared to its total live storage of 7.2 MAF.
The Jhelum river inflow at Mangla was 26,700 cusecs. It had an outflow of 10,000 cusecs. The lake level stood at 1,199.2 feet and storage at 4.39 MAF.
Jinnah Barrage had an inflow of 197,900 cusecs and an outflow of 189,900 cusecs, Chashma Barrage 188,100 cusecs and 190,000 cusecs, Taunsa Barrage 129,400 cusecs and 109,700 cusecs, Guddu Barrage 92,500 cusecs and 64,000 cusecs and Sukkur Barrage 62,000 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs. Kotri Barrage received 23,700 cusecs all of which was stored.
River Chenab had an inflow of 115,100 cusecs at Marala and River Kabul 30,400 cusecs at Nowshera.
According to the Flood Warning Centre, all the rivers were flowing normally in the Punjab.
