PESHAWAR, Aug 7: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has decided to open registration offices in the tribal agencies to enable the tribesmen of these areas to get the computerized national identity cards easily.

A decision in this regard was taken after the NWFP Governor, Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, directed the authorities concerned to facilitate the process of getting the computerized identity cards.

Work on setting up of these offices is in progress, said a press release issued by Nadra here on Wednesday.

A number of decisions in this regard were taken at a meeting presided over by Nadra provincial chief Brig Mohammad Anwar Khan. The registration office in Jamrud, Khyber Agency, which would start functioning in the current month, would be inaugurated by the governor. Work at the registration offices in other tribal agencies would start soon.
