LAHORE After deciding not to take part in the South Asian Games just a few days ago, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reversed its decision following a meeting between Chairman PCB Ijaz Butt and President of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Lt Gen (r) Arif Hassan here on Friday.

“It has been decided that Pakistan's Under-21 cricket team will participate in the 11th South Asian Games scheduled to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in February 2010,” a PCB press release said.

The PCB has already selected the team and its management, which will be announced shortly. The PCB had refused to take part in the South Asian event, in which cricket has been included for the first time, because the Federal Sports Ministry and the POA had put all the expenditures on the board.
