QUETTA, Jan 15 The provincial assembly approved on Friday the Balochistan Judicial Academy Bill 2010.
The academy will impart training to judicial officers and court personnel.
The academy's board of governors will be headed by the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court. Senior judge of the court will be its vice-chairman and director-general of the academy will be its secretary.
The registrar of the court, provincial secretary of finance, a session judge nominated by the chief justice and secretary of law and parliamentary affairs will be other members of the board.
Replying to a question, Home Minister Mir Zafarullah Zehri informed the house that 49 people had been kidnapped in 2008 and 19 in 2009 from Quetta, Jaffarabad, Nasirabad, Mastung and Bolan districts and 47 of them were recovered.
