HYDERABAD: Arrests of JSQM activists flayed

HYDERABAD, Nov 6: Acting chairman of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) Shafi Karnani and general secretary Shabbir Jamali have condemned the arrest of party workers in Karachi in Malir bomb blast case and the non-production of party chief Basheer Khan Qureshi and his deputy Dr Niaz Kalani in the court.

In a joint statement here on Tuesday, they said that the arrest of JSQM activists in the bomb explosion case proved that the government had started an operation against the party.

They said that JSQM workers had noting to do with the Malir bomb blast and demanded their immediate release.

They also condemned the authorities for declaring Bashir Qureshi and Niaz Kalani as dangerous prisoners and said this had hurt the sentiments of millions of Sindhi speaking people.

They advised the authorities not to provoke the party workers to take to roads.—Bureau
