Lakki Marwat suicide attack toll now 91

LAKKI MARWAT The death toll from Friday's suicide attack on a crowded playground in Lakki Marwat reached 91 on Saturday.

The area people pulled two more bodies from the rubble of destroyed houses on Saturday.

Over a dozen houses were destroyed in the blast, rendering the residents homeless. Another 30 houses were damaged.

The suicide bomber detonated his explosive-laden vehicle in the middle of the playground where spectators were watching a volleyball match in the Shah Hasankhel village, about 25km off Lakki Marwat.

An eight-foot-deep crater was created at the site of the blast.

The sources said that five Frontier Constabulary personnel and two policemen were among the dead while two personnel each of FC and police were wounded in the terrorist act.

Meanwhile, the Lakki Marwat police registered an FIR against unknown terrorists.
