HYDERABAD, July 29: Syed Shahabuddin Shah Hussaini and Tahkur Nazir Qaimkhani have been elected as the president and general secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q), Hyderabad district, respectively.
The elections for Hyderabad district and city organisations were held here on Sunday evening, under the supervision of Begum Manzar Rawal, at the meeting of the general council of the party.
The other district office bearers, who have been elected by the PML (Q) general council, Hyderabad included Shabbir Hashmi, senior vice president, Haji Darya Khan Nahiyoon, Khalid Pervez Pandhiani and Syed Muhsin Ali, vice presidents, Amir Bakhsh Pitafi, joint secretary, S M Ilyas, information secretary and Muhammed Zafarullah, secretary finance.
The council also elected Nasir Baloch as the president of PML (Q) Hyderabad city and Yawar Ali Shah as the senior vice president. Aleem Arain, Dr Iqbal Zai, Mehboob Junejo and Aijaz Naghar have been elected as vice presidents, while Irfan Leghari is elected as joint secretary. The elections for the general secretary and other posts will be held later on.
PTI: Mir Haider Ali Khan Talpur and Najeeb Haroon have been elected unopposed president and general secretary,respectively, of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Sindh, for a period of four years.
The elections were held under the supervision of the provincial chief election commissioner of PTI, Azhar Jameel. Among the Other provincial office bearers of the PTI Sindh, Zubair Khan, Dr Hassan Raza, Khalid Qureshi and Sardar Alam Jaffer, have been elected as vice presidents, while Muzaffar Raza and Munawar Memon, Joint Secretaries, Samar Ali Khan, Finance Secretary, Imran Khalid publication secretary, Khamis Abbas, Information Secretary, Dr Abdul Samad, public welfare secretary, Azizul Haq Solangi, literacy secretary and Dr Jagdesh Kumar as the chief of PTI minority wing.
On the directives of the party chief, the names of the candidates for the posts of senior vice president and chiefs of labour and cultural wings would be announced later on.—APP
