KARACHI, July 28: The Pakistan cricket selectors assemble Monday at the Gaddafi Stadium to finalize a 15-man team for next month’s tri-nation series in Tangiers.

The meeting will also be attended by Pakistan captain Waqar Younis, coach Mudassar Nazar and chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Lt Gen Tauqir Zia.

The choice of the squad looks an easy job as out of the 13 that played in Australia last month, only Shoaib Akhtar has pulled out.

The three available places are certain to be grabbed by Abdul Razzaq, Saqlain Mushtaq and Misbah-ul-Haq.

Razzaq and Saqlain are playing in the English County Championship while Misbah withdrew from the Australian tour because of Hepatitis.

The Tangiers tournament is to run between Aug 12 and 21. The Pakistan team is likely to leave on Aug 7.

Likely squad: Saeed Anwar, Shahid Afridi, Imran Nazir, Yousuf Youhana, Inzamam-ul-Haq (vice-captain), Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Rashid Latif, Waqar Younis (captain), Wasim Akram, Mohammad Sami, Azhar Mahmood, Abdul Razzaq, Saqlain Mushtaq and Shoaib Malik.
