Farooq strikes twice in NBP win

KARACHI Two-goal Farooq Shah gave National Bank (NBP) a 3-1 win over PIA in the Pakistan Premier League Football at Korangi Baloch Stadium on Wednesday.

The bankers were off to a good start with an early strike in the eighth minute by Yasir Sabir. Waseemullah put the game on an even keel for PIA in the 29th minute, while Farrooq grabbed his first just before the break.

It was after lemon time that Farooq sealed the fate of the match by slamming home for his second in the 66th minute.

Habib Bank will face Pakistan Navy, PIA meet PAF, while KESC play NBP on Saturday.
