NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 25: Ten high schools, including two higher secondary schools, in the district were running without science laboratories.
According to a survey, six girls high schools including Government High School Ward No 1, Moro, Government Girls High School, New Jatoi, Girls High School Mathiani, Padidan town, Bhiria city, Girls Higher Secondary School Halani and Girls High School Tharushah were without this vital facility.
Four boys high schools’ including Bhiria road, Darya Khan Mari, Cheho and Boys High School Phul, were without science labs as well.
The girls of the Higher Secondary School Halani complained that the school was upgraded to the higher secondary level, yet still no regular staff was posted.
Boys of the High School Phul asked that how one can expect them to pass their science practical with a laboratory. When contacted, the DO Education, Fahmida Pathan, said that she was aware of this problem and had moved the higher authorities, but due to the shortage of funds, labs in these schools were not established.
RALLY: About 25 JSQM activists took out a rally at Padidan for the withdrawal of cases against its chairman, Basheer Qureshi, on Thursday. They complained that the government of Sindh had registered false cases against Qureshi.
