PESHAWAR, July 25: A high-level meeting was held here on Thursday in order to review the affairs and problems of the seven anti-terrorism courts (ATCs) in the NWFP.
The meeting, presided over by the minister for law and local government, Athar Minallah, decided to constitute a committee, comprising representatives of the E&A department, army corps, the Peshawar High Court registrar and district coordination officers, to identify the problems of the ATCs and to prepare a comprehensive report, suggesting ways to resolve those problems.
The meeting was attended among others by the secretaries of law, establishment and administrations, the local governments and the additional home secretary.
