PESHAWAR, July 23: Three people were killed and one other was injured over petty disputes here on Tuesday.

Ajmal Khan, resident of Ormar Bala, told the police that his brothers Tajammal Khan and Shaukat Khan had exchanged hot words with Omar Gul over the distribution of irrigation water.

Later, Gul went to the residence of Tajammal Khan and Shaukat Khan with his sons, Noor Gul, Hunar Gul and Dastaab Gul, and allegedly opened indiscriminate fire, killing the two brothers on the spot.

The Ormara police registered a case against the assailants.

Meanwhile, a man was killed and another wounded in the Monda Bhari area.

Shehbaz Ali, resident of Monda Bhari, lodged an FIR with the C-Division police, and stated that Ammad, resident of Gulbahar No. 4, had asked him to come to the shop of his friend, Farhad.

When Ali went there, Ammad started shouting at him over some petty issue and fired upon him, but he escaped unhurt.

Farhad and his customer Bashir received bullet injuries. They were rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital, where Bashir died.

The assailant fled the scene. Police have registered a case against him.
