LAHORE, July 22: The Punjab health department decided on Monday to fill in the reserved seats in medical colleges according to the ruling of the Supreme Court.
The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by health minister Prof Mahmood Ahmad Chaudhry here.
The minister ordered constitution of a committee to devise an admission policy for medical colleges.
He said that an examination methodology would be evolved for medical colleges after the formal establishment of the University of Health Sciences.
The minister also constituted a committee headed by additional secretary (admn) to review and submit a detailed report to him about all the pending migration cases in medical colleges.
The meeting was attended by Punjab Advocate-General, joint secretary for Kashmir Affairs, additional secretaries and principal executive officers of the seven medical colleges in the province.
