SHIKARPUR, July 22: Three villagers were killed and two others were injured in two clashes between Jagirani and Shar tribesmen in Chak near here on Monday.

An armed clash between the Jagirani and Shar tribesmen in Chak town followed another attack by the Jagirani clansmen against some people of the Shar community.

Abdul Aziz, son of Mohammad Umer Shar, and Arbelo, son of Mohammad Soomar, died on the spot while Mohammad Soomar was seriously injured.

Receiving information of the killings, armed relatives of the deceased came out and started firing on two persons, belonging to Jagirani tribe, who were coming from their village to Chak.

As a result Manzoor, son of Masti Khan Jagirani, died and Gulab, son of Dadan Jagirani was injured.

The injured were taken to Chak hospital.

The incident is said to be the outcome of a Karo-kari dispute. The Chak police registered a case against 63 Jagirani and Shar tribesmen.

Meanwhile, in another incident, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi was shot dead by his relatives on the pretext of Karo-kari in Panah Shujra village on Monday.

INJURED: Some unidentified outlaws took away 20 buffaloes from a villager, Arbelo Badani, and injured two other villagers, Mumtaz and Manzoor when they offered resistance.
