Quetta GPI to offer B.Tech course

ISLAMABAD, July 20: The ministry of science and technology will introduce new disciplines at Government Polytechnic Institute, Quetta, at a cost of Rs10 million, with a view to enhancing the facilities of technical education in Balochistan.

Under the project, B.Tech (Hons) Electronics will be introduced at the institute, a press release issued here by the ministry says.

The project has been launched to introduce training programmes in new emerging disciplines to provide technically-trained manpower, make technical education demand-driven and responsive to the needs of job market. Introduction of B.Tech (Hons) Electronics will greatly help achieve this objective, the release said.
