Constable dies in outlaws firing

LAKKI MARWAT, July 17: A police constable was killed and another wounded when unidentified outlaws opened fire at them during an operation against suspected car thieves on Tuesday.

A taxi driver, Habibur Rehman, had informed the police about the presence of an armed gang on the Lakki-Mianwali Road.

A police party was sent to nab the gang. Their mobile van came under attack, sources said. Constable Mohammad Sharif died and sub-inspector Sher Mehmud was wounded, they added.
